In fact, probably everyone who has experienced pregnancy has asked themselves these things, even if it's not their first child. That's why doulas exist!
Our job is to help you gain as much knowledge about the process of pregnancy and birth as you need to feel confident. Going into the unknown of birth can be a lot easier when you have a dedicated doula by your side providing support and resources along the way.
The term doula comes from the Greek word meaning "woman who serves."
That is exactly what a birth doula does - we enter during pregnancy and meet your immediate needs. Whether that is education, creating a birth plan, or having a plan to manage postpartum mental health, a doula’s job is to make the transition to parenthood feel easier. This includes the process of labor and delivery, when a doula will offer physical and emotional support as well as helping you advocate for the birth that you want.
Birth Doula Support
Standard Birth Doula Package
5400 AED
This package reflects the level of care most families choose and benefit from.
It includes:
- Two prenatal visits to discuss your pregnancy, explore birth preferences, practice comfort measures, and create plans for birth and the postpartum period
- On-call availability beginning two weeks before your estimated due date
- Continuous support during labor and birth, from the onset of labor through 1–2 hours after birth
- Unlimited phone and email support throughout pregnancy and up to two weeks postpartum
- Assistance with early breastfeeding, if needed
- One in-home postpartum visit to check in, answer newborn care and feeding questions, and debrief your birth experience
- Emotional support through unexpected outcomes, including challenging or traumatic births and perinatal loss
- Connection to local and online resources, as needed
Payment is made in two installments:
50% is due as a deposit to reserve your place in my calendar, with the remaining 50% due at 36 weeks of pregnancy.
Customization is available.
One size doesn't always fit all. If you would like fewer prenatal visits, additional postpartum support, or a package tailored to your specific needs, we can adjust the support and pricing together.
Lactation Support
As a lactation counselor I can support you on your breastfeeding journey.
In-home or virtual breastfeeding support can help with:
- Issues with baby’s latch
- Healing sore nipples
- Milk supply issues
- Feeding positions
- Milk storage
- Pumping
Service starting at 180 AED/hour.
Coaching
As a coach, I'm here to support your pregnancy & postpartum goals. These 30 min - 1 hr one to one consultations are you-centered. Topics may include but are not limited to:
- General pregnancy & birth Q&A
- Help writing your birth plan and/or reviewing it
- Support planning for labor or postpartum
- Debriefing a birth experience
