Evidence Based Birth®
Childbirth Class (Virtual)
The Evidence Based Birth® (EBB) Childbirth Class is a comprehensive, research-backed childbirth education course designed to help you feel informed, confident, and empowered as you prepare for birth.
This class is taught using a flipped classroom model. Each week, students will have access to the official EBB videos and materials to watch and review on their own time. Then, on Mondays, we’ll meet live on Zoom to discuss that week’s content, answer questions, and dive deeper into the evidence together.
This format allows you to learn at your own pace during the week while still benefiting from live support, conversation, and real-life application in a small, supportive group.

FAQs
Do I need to want an unmedicated or “natural” birth to take this class?
Not at all. This class is for all birth paths — unmedicated, epidural, induction, or cesarean. The goal is not to push one type of birth, but to give you evidence-based information so you can decide what feels right for you.
What does "flipped classroom" mean?
Each week, you’ll watch the official Evidence Based Birth® videos and review materials on your own time. Then, during our live Monday Zoom sessions, we’ll discuss the content, answer questions, and go deeper into how the evidence applies to you! Don't worry if you get behind or want to review previous class material - you will have access for 3 or 6 months.
Can my partner attend with me?
Yes! Partners are encouraged to attend the weekly Zoom sessions and work through the weekly materials. Your registration includes 2 account logins for you and your partner at no additional cost.
How much time should I expect to spend each week?
Most families spend about 1–2 hours reviewing the videos and materials during the week, plus the live Zoom session on Mondays. The first and last zoom sessions are 2 hours and the middle 4 are 1 hour each.
How is this class different from other childbirth classes?
EBB curates all of the best, evidence-based information for you. What’s more, you can ask your experienced Evidence Based Birth® Instructor questions any time– meaning you’ll have someone to mentor you through the process!
Finally, we talk about the real issues affecting childbirth today. We do not shy away from addressing the issues caused by patriarchy, institutional racism, or lack of inclusivity in our systems today. We are not perfect, but we attempt to uncover the issues in a relaxing way and, when approached with an open mind, we find and discuss real life solutions to affect change for your birth.
When should I take this class in my pregnancy?
Most families take this class in the second or early third trimester, but it can be beneficial at any point before birth.
